Monster, The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member- Character Post

The main character in this book is Monster Kody Scott aka Sanyika Shakur. At the age of eleven he got jumped in to the Eight Tray Gansgters. He is one of the most compited people in the gang, and when he was about 16 three men from the Sixties ambushed him and shot him about seven times and tried to kill him. He is a father of a little girl named Keonda, he has not spent any real time with her or her mother.

    This book sounds really interesting.If I were to read this book I think i would definetly like it. What is the setting of this book?
